This year’s Spread the Joy campaign brought cheer to 854 children at various orphanages and disadvantaged communities in several departments of Haiti.
With your contributions, we sent Santa’s elves with goodies, gift-wrapped presents, to organize pizza parties and to set up many dance offs so that children could celebrate the holidays.
In Port au Prince, we made sure to Spread the Joy to some of our supported orphanages including Maison des Anges and others such as Timkatec and Fondation Luce. We also went to the South and Nippes Departments that were impacted by August’s earthquake and made our first stop to Anse a Veau delivering cheer and gifts to 180 children in this area, followed by Torbeck to serve 171 children and then Camp Perrin to serve an additional 160 children.
We also donated some toys to the social services department of Haiti, IBESR, to serve additional children in need of cheer.
This year’s Spread the Joy campaign and distributions were made possible with the support of Fondation Sogebank, Raymond James, SAS ambassador Jesse Woo, devoted volunteer Alexa Baker, Union School and you, our donors and supporters.
